Room Temperature Vulcanized (RTV) rubber molding complements rapid prototyping. RTV molding satisfies your need for multiple prototypes with enhanced material properties, while protecting your most valuable assets…time and money.

Early in the design cycle, durable prototypes may be required in larger quantities. Due to the likelihood of design changes, or short deadlines, a commitment to hard tooling may not be practical. RTV molding economically bridges the gap between rapid prototyping and hard tooling by providing prototypes in one to two weeks at a fraction of the cost.

Lower cost and time, combined with superior material properties, makes RTV molding a fast and economical solution for early error detection and increased customer satisfaction.

RTV rubber is capable of picking up details as fine as a fingerprint. So, the quality of the tool and the resulting quality of the prototypes are directly linked to the quality of the pattern. Accelerated Technologies uses its in-house rapid prototyping systems for pattern generation to ensure complete quality control.

From each RTV mold, 15 to 30 cast urethane parts can be produced. With cycle times of 30 minutes to 6 hours, an RTV mold can produce 2 to 20 prototypes per day.
