High-Resolution Concept Models & Prototypes
The 3D printing process is an additive fabrication method similiar to SLA in that it uses photosensitive polymer materials and UV lamps to build models. However, 3D printing offers better accuracy, finer detail and is much faster than the SLA process. Utilizing PolyJet™ technology, ink-jet heads deposit the material which is cured by UV bulbs one layer at a time.
3D printing is an excellent solution for accuracy, surface quality, resolution and build size. Here are some highlights of our 3D prototyping capabilities:
- Large build size (19.7" x 15.7" x 7.9")
- High resolution (up to 600dpi on X and Y axis)
- Produces ultra-fine details of complex designs
- Layer thickness down to .0006", eliminating the stair effect of lower resolution models
- Excellent custom finishing options available, including painting
