Ellison Group Sales Managers Receive Awards
With business up almost 20% from this time last year, 2004
has been a strong year for the Ellison Group family of
technology-driven industrial companies. The top honors awarded
to Ellison Group sales managers at a recent 8-week Dale
Carnegie Training (DCT) Sales Advantage course suggest that
this positive trend will continue.
John Krugman, Regional Sales Manager for DCT, explained that
the course, which consists of 25-30 people from regional
companies meeting each Thursday evening for 8 weeks, is
designed to foster a consultative approach to selling that focuses
on customer needs rather than the product or service that a
person is trying to sell.
At the end of the course, awards are voted on by course
graduates and instructors and presented to individuals to
recognize growth and achievement, based on how each
attendee has applied the course knowledge in the marketplace
in between weekly sessions, explained Krugman.

Sales Manager
Dwight Cloud was
recognized as
Sales Talk Champion for
demonstrating course principles in a
unified presentation. Cloud also
received the
Human Relations Award
for representing principles of the book,
How To Win Friends and Influence People.
Senior Sales Representative
Tom
Kennedy won the
Continuous
Improvement Award for consistent
achievement throughout the course, as
well as an Application Award for putting course principles into
action in the workplace.
Sales and Marketing Manager
Bill Frederick received a
Contest
Award for effectively demonstrating specific aspects of the
course training.

Managers
Mike Leisring and
Don Verrier each won

contributions to the class.
Sending key sales personnel to Dale
Carnegie Training is part of the Ellison
Group's corporate strategy to maximize
sales effectiveness by building
relationships with customers and
creating solutions that are tailored to
specific needs, explained Ellison Group
Chief Marketing Officer Randy Sadler.
