Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) - Real Metal Parts

DMLS is an additive manufacturing technique typically used for production of complex metal parts with low production levels.  The high-tech process transforms a 3-dimensional CAD file into a real part by using a COlaser to sinter powdered metal one layer at a time on a build tray.  The ultra-thin layers, typically 20 micron, allow for the creation of highly complex parts with exceptional resolution detail.

DMLS materials include:

  • Stainless Steel
  • Direct Metal
  • Maraging Steel
  • Cobalt Chrome
  • Titanium

Highlights of DMLS include:

  • High quality metal parts produced in hours, not days
  • No need for costly tooling
  • Superior accuracy and detail resolution
