October 24, 2005 Mike Durham Accelerated Technologies, Inc 1611 Headway Circle, Bldg. 1 Austin, TX 78754 Dear Mr. Durham, On behalf of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Formula SAE team we would like to thank you for your invaluable contribution to the 2005 racecar. This year proved very successful in meeting our goals and expectations. Before we started building the 2005 car, we decided that we were going to finish all events at competition. Thanks to your contribution and the dedication of the team, we managed to complete the car a month and a half before competition giving us adequate time for testing and training drivers.

Almost directly due to this, we did finish all events and end up placing 15th in competition out of 140 schools. This was a significant achievement for our team, since previous years’ rankings fell below the top thirty five. We placed 14th in the design part of competition, which looks at new technologies and materials we incorporate in the design of the car. We would not be able to include many of these technologies if it wasn’t for our sponsors. 2006 promises to be even more exciting for the Rensselaer Formula team. New innovations in the works for 2006 include a newly redesigned rear box and suspension setup and a variable intake runner length system. Innovations that are being considered include a traction control system and a pneumatic shifter system.

To show our appreciation for Accelerated Technologies, Inc’s commitment to the team, we have included a photograph of the car. Please accept this small token of gratitude for all of the time and resources that you have committed to the project and furthering education. We look forward to working with you again in the future.
